A Twitter post highlighting a rugged and uneven road in Britain where potholes were filled with tar seems to have struck a chord with internet users. Shortly after the photo was shared on the microblogging site by @NoContextBrits, it was bombarded with many similar photos of roads from around the world.
“Only in Britain would a road look like this,” read the tweet, which has garnered over 85,000 likes at the time of writing and has now become a common thread. Right here, looked:

A damaged road is clearly a problem everyone faces and many quickly responded to the post with their own version of ‘damaged road’. From Russia, Nigeria, Argentina, Pakistan and of course India, netizens quickly shared photos of roads filled with potholes.
“Meanwhile in Argentina we are celebrating our pothole birthdays,” one user tweeted, sharing a photo of a birthday cake with a number 3 candle on it.
