the creators of Rocketry The Nambi Effect have released a new trailer for the film ahead of its release on July 1. The first trailer for the biopic was released on April 1. The film is written and directed by R Madhavan who plays the lead role of aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan. .
The second trailer of the film does not offer anything new but we are once again shown the determination of Nambi Narayanan when it comes to launching commercial satellites for India, for which he is willing to do anything. He is even willing to drop NASA’s offer to serve the nation for him, but he is declared ‘deshdrohi’. The trailer concludes with the words: “Sometimes a wronged man is a wronged nation.”
Rocketry is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer with the Indian Space Research Organization. In 1994, Narayanan was accused of leaking vital defense secrets to two suspected Maldivian intelligence officers, Mariam Rasheeda and Fauzia Hassan. The scientist fought his own case in the Supreme Court and was found not guilty in 1996.
In an earlier interview with PTI, Madhavan said that the country missed the opportunity to recognize Narayanan. “If there had been any other country, they would call it a national asset, there would be bodyguards and bulletproof cars around it,” he said.
Rocketry, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, will be released in India on July 1 in Tamil, Hindi and English. It has also been dubbed in Telugu and Kannada.
