The leader of an opposition party in Fiji calls on the government to suspend the repayment of student loans who had funded their studies under the tertiary education loan program.
Last week, the Scholarship and Tertiary Loans Service confirmed that the state was unable to raise $ 158 million in arrears from nearly 30,000 Fijians.
National Federation Party leader Biman Prasad said the government should suspend debt recovery for five years.
