Simple Kapadia, a trained professional actress, worked in the Hindi film industry, where she made many films and gained fame for her outstanding performances. She actively worked as a costume designer from 1987 until her death in 2009. She made her acting debut at the age of 18 through the movie “Anurodh,” released in 1977, where she portrayed Sumita Mathur and shared the screen with her beau-brother, Rajesh Khanna. She continued to act in Hindi films and worked with Bollywood biggies, receiving appreciation. However, there are many lesser-known facts about her, which we present here.

1- Simple Kapadia comes from a family of actors. Her older sister, Dimple Kapadia, is a renowned actress, and her daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinkie Khanna, also worked in the film industry and appeared in many films. Additionally, her older sister, Reem Kapadia, was a costume designer.

2- Simple Kapadia began her career at the age of 17, making her acting debut in the Bollywood movie “Anurodh,” where she portrayed Sumita Mathur and starred alongside Rajesh Khanna.

3- Despite having connections in the Hindi film industry and receiving film education, Simple Kapadia (Late) did not achieve as much success as her elder sister, Dimple Kapadia, who rose to fame for her performances.
