Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Tessa Thompson, among others. Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Russell Crowe also appear in the film.

After seeing the movie at the premiere, many of the guests shared their first reactions on Twitter. Big, colorful and bizarre Guns N’ Roses-fueled battles with a hopelessly romantic story about discovering love in unexpected places. Christian Bale and Russell Crowe are especially great. And Korg!

Collider’s Therese Lacson wrote: “#ThorLoveAndThunder is absolutely AMAZING. It blows every other Marvel movie out of the water and doubles the charm of Ragnarok. A classic from @TaikaWaititi, so many laughs and tears, with a moving narrative and beautiful images. And those post credits? OH MY GOD.”

Germain Lussier of Gizmodo wrote: “#ThorLoveAndThunder is what I imagine it would be like to live in the mind of Taika Waititi. It’s wild, it’s funny, it’s a little over the top in the middle, but in the end it all comes together in a surprising, moving and satisfying way. Lots of Guns n Roses too. Much. ⚡️”

Brandon Davis called it “absolutely electrifying” and wrote, “My favorite #Thor movie of the four. Taika Waititi from start to finish. It’s mature, the soundtrack is great, and there are some big surprises. Great fun. Feels like the best.” of MCU Phase 1 and Phase 4 in one entry. Loved it.”

Rachel Leishman called it “the perfect blend of Taika at his best with comedy and a punch to the gut all rolled into one.” Caitlin Tyrrell wrote: “#ThorLoveAndThunder exceeds all expectations by balancing utterly bombastic madness with heartwarming character-driven stories. Christian Bale is top notch and Natalie Portman is truly exceptional. Waititi may have delivered the best MCU movie of Phase 4 #ThorLoveAndThunder.”

Thor Love and Thunder opens in theaters on July 7.
